  I was shopping around the Jewelers Row area looking for an engagement ring and became very disappointed and frustrated. I was hearing a lot of sales pitches and most of the people didn’t seem to know what they were talking about. A lot of the stores I went into didn’t even have any stones—they went to a computer screen and told me they would order them for me. I didn’t want to buy a diamond even they had not seen. Then a friend referred me to M. Martin and Co. I had a very pleasant experience. Both Steve and Stan are GIA Graduate Gemologists (I found out that people selling diamonds are not required by law to have any certification or training). Steve patiently explained the grading system to me so it made sense. They have an extensive diamond inventory on hand and were able to show me more stones than I had seen in the last five stores combined. They had a lot of mountings to choose from. I picked one I liked and made some custom changes to it which they executed perfectly. This is one store you want to check out. You need to make an appointment, though. They are generally very busy.

  I bought my wife's engagement ring three years ago. Had a customer ring made, was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I look forward to continuing doing business in the future.
